At New Life Church Philly, we know that Jesus changes hearts and lives. Out of His delight in us, He calls us to walk in the freedom that He has already secured. He invites us to leap into belonging in His kingdom by taking hold of our true identity and our destiny.
However, we often don't walk in that freedom as we are likely burdened with things we were never meant to carry- hurts, disappointments, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness, feeling like an orphan, worthlessness, and malice, among other things. Often, we seem defeated as we pray for these heart attitudes to change, and can feel helpless and hopeless in our everyday struggles and perhaps may even believe God is not listening to our cries.
